Testimonials

I have been patient of Denise’s for more than a year. When we started I was recovering from a major illness which necessitated longterm rehabilitation. Every treatment with Denise is such a wonderful experience, she is very professional and also a very kind and warm person.

I cannot thank her enough for helping me to go through a difficult time on my recovery journey. I am going to continue to have treatment with Denise to keep my health in the best shape possible.

A.B.  London, UK.

In seven months of volunteering Denise showed extraordinary capability in her osteopathic work with disadvantaged children and adults in deprived areas of southern Peru.

The quality of Denise’s care is reflected both in the respect and admiration earned from the other medical professionals and humanitarian staff with whom she worked.

What is osteopathy?

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a natural system of healthcare. Osteopaths are highly trained in the knowledge of the body’s structure and the way the body works in health and disease.

Osteopaths use their trained sense of touch to assess and treat imbalances and tensions in the body to support the body back towards greater health.

Osteopaths look at the whole body not only the area that is causing discomfort, in order to understand the underlying reasons for the problem arising and where treatment can most usefully be applied.

As well as gentle hands on treatment osteopaths may suggest specific life style changes and appropriate exercises to help to prevent recurrence of a specific condition.

What is Cranial Osteopathy?

Cranial osteopathy is a term that began to be used in the early part of the 20 th century to designate treatment that included the head. Perhaps it was not the best name as it implies a focus on treatment of the head only, when it is in fact a very gentle osteopathic approach to treatment of the whole body.

Because it is gentle it can helpful for the treatment of babies and this is often what first comes to mind if someone has heard of the approach. However it can be therapeutic for people of all ages – newborns, toddlers, children, adolescents, adults, and the grandparent generation.
